Join the Chorus

The Choral Arts Society of Frederick (CASF) is a volunteer organization open to those in the community who enjoy singing. New members are accepted into the chorus twice each season (September and January). Interested parties may contact Lynn Staininger.

By joining our organization, you undertake the commitment to perform in all major concerts and to contribute to the support of the organization. This support may take the form of serving on committees, participating in fundraising activities, selling tickets to concerts, and attending all rehearsals and performing at all concerts.

While participating in any of the committees is not mandatory, we encourage everyone to try at least one committee, with the understanding that there will be plenty of support from the other members of the choir and the officers.

Solicitation of advertisements for the concert programs Coordination of concert attire Organization of chorus social gatherings Coordination of ticket sales, ticket takers, and ushers Maintenance and distribution of membership roster Ordering, receipt, distribution of current music and maintenance of music library Design and preparation of concert programs, tickets, and posters Placement of CASF announcements and articles in the various news media Preparation, decoration, setup and takedown of the set for concerts, and arrange technical support when required Devising of and organizing fund raising projects and annual audit of the organization’s books
