Choral Arts Society of Frederick

Join the Chorus

The Choral Arts Society of Frederick (CASF) is a volunteer organization open to those in the community who enjoy singing. New members are accepted into the chorus twice each season (September and January). Interested parties may contact Lynn Staininger.

Dues

Dues are $100 per semester. Dues must be paid by the third rehearsal unless other arrangements are made. Other financial responsibilities include purchasing music and proper concert attire.

FCC students taking CASF as a credit class do not have to pay dues, but are responsible for purchasing their music and concert attire. Music costs approximately $30 each semester. If you have financial difficulties purchasing music or concert attire, please see the President or Treasurer as soon as possible.

Rehearsals

Time: Rehearsals are held Tuesdays from 7:45 to 10:00 PM, with new sessions beginning in September and January of each year. The first Spring 2010 rehearsal will be February 2nd at 7:15 PM (0.5 hr early).

Location: Room 109, Arts & Student Center (Building F), Frederick Community College, Frederick, MD

Committees

By joining our organization, you undertake the commitment to perform in all major concerts and contribute to the support of CASF. This support may take the form of serving on committees, participating in fundraising activities, selling tickets to concerts, and attending all rehearsals and performing at all concerts. While participating in a committees is not mandatory, we encourage everyone to try at least one committee, with the understanding that there will be plenty of support from the other members of the choir and the officers.
