Jerrold Tidwell, Accompanist
A native of Alabama, Jerrold Tidwell received the Bachelor of Music degree in Organ Performance and Sacred Music from the University of Montevallo, where he also began studies toward the Master of Music degree.
Jerrold has served as Organist and Director of Music for churches throughout the Eastern United States, and has served as a professional accompanist and vocal coach for Jacksonville State University and Reinhardt University. As an accompanist. he has worked with choral, solo and instrumental groups, including performances with Reinhardt Symphony, Pensacola Symphony, and members of the Alabama and Atlanta Symphonies.
In addition to keyboard work, Jerrold has worked extensively as a choral director, forming Dutch Fork Choral Society, a 50-voice civic chorus in Greater Columbia, South Carolina, and working with many sacred and secular ensembles throughout the Southeast. Church and civic choristers under Jerrold's directon have sung with John Rutter, Carl Schalk, Allen Pote, K. Lee Scott, and other conductors of distinction.
